PTA REFLECTIONS 2023-24
Submission Deadline: November 17th, 2023
National PTA's Reflections program provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts which boost student confidence and success in the arts and in life.
The theme for the 2023-24 is I am Hopeful Because.... Students submit their completed works of art in one or all of the available arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts.
All students submitting an entry to Wicoff PTA Reflection program, MUST have at least one Wicoff PTA member in his/her household. Join the PTA here to take advantage of this program.

REDBERRY FROZEN YOGURT FUNDRAISER
Let’s kick off the school year on a sweet note! Present this flyer or mention "Wicoff PTA" when you purchase frozen yogurt Saturday, Sept. 23, and RedBerry will generously donate 15% of all proceeds to Wicoff PTA. We greatly appreciate your support!

WALK TO SCHOOL DAY
Walk to School Day encourages families to be active together while building strong family bonds and healthy habits that last a lifetime!!
Parents are requested to walk along with their child(ren) or have a designated guardian walk with them from the start until we reach the school and kids are dismissed to their class rooms.
If you choose not to walk to school, please give yourself extra time this morning for drop off. There will be heavy traffic on Plainsboro Road with walkers and Plainsboro police escort.

1st PTA GENERAL BODY MEETING - 2023
Immediately following the Walk to School, please join us for the 1st PTA General Meeting.
The Principal, Mrs. Cook, and School Counselor, Mrs. Incollingo, will present information on HIB (Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying). The PTA Body will also vote on the school budget and approve the Standing Rules for the Wicoff PTA.
Coffee and donuts will be served. Everyone is welcome!

STAGE A STORY
An interactive Autumn themed virtual drama for children led by Mrs. Vorp of Stage a story. Join us to move, laugh and have a great time!
When : October 12th @7 PM

Who: This is a FREE event and OPEN to all WICOFF families!
BINGO Night and Family Book Fair Night
Fun for the whole Family!!! Prizes, Pizza and FUN.
The event will run from 6.30pm-7.30pm, with Book Fair night 30 mins before and after the main event. Please visit the Media Center for Family Book Fair.
There is no party without Pizza! Pizza and Chips will be available for purchase and the funds raised will be used for planning and organizing Wicoff PTA Events.
Pre-registration form will be sent with the child. Please submit the completed form before October 13th. Advanced Registration Required. All Wicoff families are welcome!!

FALL BOOK FAIR
We are excited to have the book fair in-person this fall. Students will have the opportunity to shop during their library/media period.
Parents can visit the Book Fair with their child during the Family Bingo Night on October 19th!!
All purchases go to support Wicoff Media Center and Student events sponsored by the PTA.

HALLOWEEN PUMPKIN PHOTO SUBMISSION
Time to celebrate and be spooky! Halloween is round the corner!
Wicoff PTA encourages all students to submit a photo of your carved, painted, and/or decorated spooky, clever, scary or silly pumpkins. Decorate the pumpkin whatever way you want.
All you have to do is submit the picture here: https://forms.gle/3NRef5p4p9i4aYLM6 with your Child's name and grade.
Submissions are open from October 18th to October 27th until 8:00pm. No entries will be accepted after the submission date. All submitted entries will then be put on display on Wicoff PTA’s Facebook page and Instagram handle.

PTA General Meeting (Virtual)
Wicoff PTA will hold a virtual general PTA Meeting at 6:30pm on Thursday, January 11th.
Starting at 7:00pm, there will be a joint PTA meeting with Wicoff PTA, Dutch Neck PTA, Maurice Hawk PTA, and Town Center PTA.
This joint meeting will be held virtually and the topic will be "Elementary ELA and Math Curriculum & Instruction". The speakers for this evening will include Dr. Melissa Pearson (WW-P Supervisor of Math K-5), Ms. Lindsay Jablonski (WW-P Supervisor of Language Arts K-5), and Dr. Christine Capaci (WW-P Director of Data, Assessment and Accountability).

MASKED TEACHER EVENT
Another interesting and fun virtual event to play with Wicoff teachers and staff- Reveal the masked teacher!

WICOFF ENTERTAINMENT NIGHT
The Wicoff Entertainment Night is BACK! If your child enjoys singing, dancing, telling jokes, or performing in any way, here is their chance to share their talents

All acts MUST be two (2) minutes or less, as there are two shows that night. Time limits will be enforced.

Open to only students of Wicoff PTA members. Please use the Memberhub link to become a member before registering.

Acts may be individual or in groups of no more than six (6) children.

There is a one-act limit per child.

All acts and music should be kid- and age-appropriate.

This will be a ticketed event. You will receive more information after the registration deadline on how to purchase tickets to watch the show.

WICOFF FAMILY VIRTUAL TRIVIA GAME NIGHT
The 4th Annual Family Trivia Night is on Feb. 22 at 7 p.m., so grab your entire family and join the fun.
Your family will play along with other families to answer trivia questions about our wonderful school and our awesome towns of Plainsboro and West Windsor.
