VOLUNTEER
Some people think volunteering for the PTA is a huge responsibility and a never-ending commitment of time, but we’ll prove that’s just not true.
And you don't have to be a parent or stepparent to help. Grandparents, older siblings, and other extended family and friends are always welcome to get involved. Our goal is to connect as many engaged people as we can to the school, in whatever ways they are willing to join in.
Ways to help from home or on your own schedule:

Collect and submit Box Tops. See our Fundraising page for more details

Provide administrative help by contacting businesses for donations, or submitting Box Tops, receipts, and labels to the sponsoring companies.

Use your extreme couponing and deal hunting skills to purchase and donate needed items, such as refreshments, paper products, craft supplies, prizes, and more.

Collaborate on projects like the PTA website and email communications, or learn more about putting together the annual yearbook.

Design flyers, posters, displays, and handouts.

Make a monetary donation to the PTA, and check if your company has a policy or program to match charitable donations.
Ways to help during the school day:

Help kids shop at the book fairs.

Volunteer time for in-school fundraisers.

Sort and distribute deliveries of fundraiser items.

Set up, decorate, and break down special events and Teacher/Staff Appreciation luncheons or the book fairs.
Ways to help at events:

Chair an event of your choosing, or shadow a current chairperson to learn more.

Help set up, decorate, and break down an evening or weekend event.

Provide entertainment: magicians, balloon artists, face painting, etc., are all welcome.

Provide music: It's a well-known fact that kids love a good dance party.

Supply catering or food, or help contact businesses for discounts.

Provide rental items such as bounce houses, tables, tents, and coolers.

Offer building, carpentry, or mechanical skills.

Volunteer on Family Night at the book fair, or at restaurant events.

Participate in our vendor fair.

Photograph events for inclusion in the yearbook and on the website.

Small business owners – make a donation and we'll advertise your business.
FUNDRAISING
It can be overwhelming to be faced with a steady stream of requests for money and donations. We all have families of our own and know budgets can be tight. We're constantly looking for ways to integrate opportunities with our daily lives and take advantage of offers to earn funds at little or no cost to our West Pottsgrove community.

Once you're set up with programs like AmazonSmile, the rewards earn themselves every time you shop.
What do we do with this money? In addition to purchasing much-needed items for the school and classrooms like books and supplies, and playground equipment, we use it to BRING THE FUN for the students and families at West through as many free and low-cost events as we can.
Box Tops for Education : is an easy way to earn money for our school, and everyone can help! Recruit family and friends to clip and collect Box Tops and Bonus Box Top Certificates from hundreds of products. Each Box Top is worth $.10 to our school, and that can add up quickly!
Traditional Box Tops clips are being phased out of production, but may continue to be found on many products throughout the store. You can still clip and send them to school.
Eventually the Box Tops program will become digital-only. Participating brands are starting to change their packaging from a traditional Box Tops clip to the new Box Top label.
If you see this label, use the new Box Tops app to scan your receipt. Box Tops are still worth 10¢ each for your school. The app will find participating products purchased at any store and instantly add cash to your school's earnings online.
